Hello, I'm Sonya Wilson,

An educator and an artist. I really enjoy creating activities for our community and connecting one another.

Puppet show IJburg was born during the uncertain times of Covid (2020) I felt it was important for children to get outside, fresh air, use their imagination, scream shout and have fun. What better way to do that than with shows like Jan Klaassen and Katrijn. 

I grew up with shows like this as a child in England. Stories allow for time for you to bring your children to connect to stories. I've spent the time and searched all over Holland and Amsterdam for entertainers who love what they do. I have a wide selection of artists and entertainers who can't wait to share puppet/marionette stories with you.

Thanks to Stadsdeel Oost and your attendance at the beach in IJburg your support has kept this event going. This year 2024 we had 5 shows in total.

*Note: The very last show will be on August 21st at 2:30 PM and 3:30 PM. (summer holidays)
