Kintsugi Workshop: Meaning Through Mending

Kintsugi is the Japanese art of putting broken pottery pieces back together with gold, not to disguise the fault lines but to emphasize them as sign of beauty and strength. Kintsugi is about embracing flaws and imperfections and the idea of something broken becoming more precious through healing.
Embark on a journey of mindfulness and self healing. In this immersive two-hour workshop, participants will delve into the rich philosophy of Kintsugi while practicing the art of repairing broken ceramic. While we'll supply a ceramic object for you, you're also welcome to bring your own broken ceramics.
No artistic experience is necessary. All materials and equipment are provided.
It will be on Sunday 16, from 19:00 to 21:00 in Amsterdam.
