Looking for creative, fun and educational activity for your child on Wednesday afternoons? Starting in mid May there will be new workshops available in Ijburg...taught in English and in Dutch.
I am an art teacher from Laterna Magica and Montessori Steigereiland, responsible for the kids' school-wide exhibition "Klik" of digital black&white photography and also the "Moving Still Life" exhibition. I have a new art studio on Lumierestraat in Ijburg where I will begin to teach children on Wednesday afternoons.

Free Proof Lesson 10 May
On Wednesday 10 May, I will have an open house and children can have a free proof-lesson. A 15% discount for early registration will be offered. Please email an RSVP for the limited spaces. Times are 15:30-16:30 younger group (apx 4-7), and 16:45-17:45 older group (apx 7-10).
May/June
Wednesday Art Classes
Beginning on Wednesday 17 May, I will offer a session of 7 art classes for children. Class times are: 15:30-16:30 younger group (apx 4-7), and 16:45-17:45 older group (apx 7-10). All children receive a sketchbook out of which they will work during each class. Curriculum includes drawing skill development plus painting and collage inspired by contemporary and historical artists such as David Hockney, Helen Frankenthaler, and Japanese artist Hokusai. Weather permitting, we will go outside and draw from nature. Indoors we listen to inspiring music. I will emphasize artists whose work can been seen in Amsterdam museums. Last class includes a review of all artists plus a creative gift for the children. The workshop session fee is €84 (€12 per class x 7 classes) with all materials plus a snack included.
