Ijburg, show your awareness. Pollution Free IJburg. No Fireworks on New year eve.

Can we transform our new year evening celebrations without pollutions(Air, Sound and Earth) or explosions? Without Fireworks?

I'm suggesting, IJburg is an aware community and can start this transition in Amsterdam with our quality of thinking. We can be inspiration to transform this destructive habit of exploding and polluting activity towards environment friendly, more mature, more aware way of celebrating our coming year.

Every year, all around the world, countries, governments, people, spend millions of euros, dollars, pounds(...) to just burn and watch fireworks. The air pollution comes back to us as earth pollution with rain. Sound pollution is the extra. For what? Entertainment? Have we always celebrated our new years with fireworks? Or, it is something emposed over to our cultures. World wide. 

I believe, the awareness levels are increasing in the World. Why not making Ijburg an example of aware community? Why not starting together a new beginning? Why not being inspiration for other part of this country withg saying No to pollution. Can we be happy without exploding? I believe yes.

Let's transform our investments towards something more beautiful, more elegant, more aware, less pollution, less sound. My personal suggestion is sky lanterns(possible with bio-degradable). I'm sure creative people of IJburg can find better solutions.
